Launching ceremomy of “Promoting agriculture products, sharing love to overcome Covid-19 pandemic” campaign

In order to promote agriculture products in the context of Covid-19 pandemic to relieve the finacial burden for Vietnamese farmers, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union cooperated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Viet Nam Farmer’s Union and Viet Nam Women’s Union to lauch the campaign: “Promoting agriculture products, sharing love to overcome Covid-19 pandemic”. Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Central Standing Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, President of the Viet Nam Youth Federation; Mrs. Ha Thi Nga, Member of the Central Standing Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, Chairwoman of the Viet Nam Women’s Union; Mr. Phung Duc Tien, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; Mr. Ngo Van Cuong, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union attended the launching ceremony.

At the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan applauded the campaign. He acclaimed that the creative and innovative application of digital technology demonstrated great influence in promoting agriculture products. He encouraged Vietnamese youth to further explore the implementation of modern technology to support the farming industry.

Adversely effected by the Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnamese farmers find it difficult to reach the potential consumers as they lack the sophistication in promoting agriculre products, which leads to severe financial damages for them.

Speaking at the lauching ceremony, Mr. Ngo Van Cuong, Secretary of the HCYU informed the press about the purpose, ideal and implementation of the campaign. He affirmed that the campaign creates a new business model that allows the supply side to tap into the huge market of individuals nationwide by performing multi-channel marketing projects on main social media platforms to trigger online sale orders. Members of the HCYU and Viet Nam Youth Federation collect relevant business data, conduct market research, establish retail and whole sale units, train volunteers and facilitate the supply chain to make sure the new market for agriculture products operate smoothly and efficiently.

Mr. Ngo Van Cuong also commanded the HCYU at provinces to collaborate with  Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to keep conducting market research to report directly to the Central Committee of the HCYU. He then mentioned the need for continuous lending for youth in rural area to nurture local business and asked for the cooperation among stakeholders there.
