Young Vietnamese businessmen accompany with retired athletes

In the afternoon of December 28th, in Hanoi, the Association of young Vietnamese entrepreneurs (AYVE) signed a cooperation agreement with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training on “Job creation and start-up support for high-performing Vietnamese sports athletes after retiring.”

Attending the ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam; Permanent Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU), President of the Vietnam Youth Federation (VYF) Nguyen Anh Tuan and representatives, leaders of the AYVE; General Department of Sports and Physical Training.

According to the content of the agreement, from 2020, the AYVE will mobilize young entrepreneurs across the country to support startups, create jobs for athletes with high achievements and have retired, based on their needs and locations.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dang Hong Anh, Chairman of  the AYVE, Vice President of the VYF said that this was a practical program to provide athletes a peace of mind to practice and compete, bring glory to the Fatherland. At the same time, showing the social responsibility of young Vietnamese entrepreneurs to the community and society.

In order to make the contents of the implementation agreement effective, the AYVE and the General Department of Sports and Physical Education will continue developing annual specific plans and programs.

Accordingly, the General Department of Sports and Physical Training shall direct functional units to make a list of athletes in need and send it to the AYVE. On this basis, the AYVE will mobilize all levels of the Association, local member businesses to register to support.

At the ceremony, the Central Committee of the AYVE presented 10 gifts worth VND 200 million to 10 Vietnamese athletes with outstanding and typical achievements at the latest SEA Games 30.
