Opening ceremony of the third Contest on understanding Vietnamese History and Culture: "Proud of Vietnam"

In the morning of November 11th, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) and the Ministry of Education and Training jointly launched the 3rd "Proud of Vietnam" contest for the academic year of 2019-2020 for students attending high schools and vocational education- continuing education centers nationwide.

The contest was organized to create an useful playground for Youth Union members and students, arousing the passion for studying national history and culture, fostering patriotism and national pride, promoting the responsibility of Vietnamese youth in studying, training, making careers, building and defending the Fatherland.

The opening ceremony took place at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted with the attendance of Mr. Bui Truong Giang, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Permanent Secretary of the HCYU; representatives of departments, branches, school boards and a large number of students.

The content of the Contest consists of knowledge about Vietnamese history and culture; important historical landmarks of the country; national heroes, heroic martyrs; achievements in all areas of the country during the renovation period.

With the direction of the Central Propaganda Department, this is the third time the contest is organized. This year, the Contest has many innovations with longer exam time, more interaction. In addition to content knowledge contest, video production, also has an inforgraphic design to attract more contestants.

Specifically, the Contest consists of three independent content: Knowledge contest with 03 rounds: weekly round (1st round: from November 11th to December 8th, 2019 (4 weeks); second round: from February 2nd 2020 to March 1st, 2020 (4 weeks), provincial-level finals (scheduled for March 7th, 2020) and national-ranking finals (March 21st-22nd, 2020) .
