Vietnam-China Friendship Youth Exchange 2018 Launched

Web.HCYU.15.08.18. Hanoi - The official opening ceremony for Opening Ceremony for the Vietnam-China Friendship Youth Exchange 2018 was held in the evening 14/8/2018 in the convention center in Hanoi. The youth exchange between the two countries will be held from 13/8 to 19/8/2018 in several cities and provinces of Vietnam.

Attended the opening ceremony includes Mr Le Quoc Phong Alternate Member of the CPV Central Committee, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, President of Vietnam Youth Federation, Chairman of the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam, President of Vietnam National Union of Students; Mr Nguyen Lam, Vice Chairman of the CPV Central Commission for Mass Mobilization; Mr Bui Quang Huy, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and Mr Nguyen Vinh Quang, Deputy President of the Vietnam - China Friendship Association.

Also presented at the ceremony includes Mr Fu Zhen, Secretary of the Secretariat of the Communist Youth League of China, Ms Doan Hai Hong, Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Mr Bui Quang Huy extended his warmest welcome to the Chinese youth delegation led by Mr Fu Zhen, Secretary of the Secretariat of the Communist Youth League of China to join the Vietnam-China Friendship Youth Exchange 2018 in Viet Nam.

Mr Bui Quang Huy stated that the friendship youth exchange 2018 is a valuable opportunity for the youth unions and young people of the two countries to exchange experience, share information, and ideas on the youth movements carried out in each country. The exchange is also expected to further strengthen youth cooperation in the years to come. In addition, Mr Huy expected the participating youths to learn about countries, culture and people of Vietnam.

The 18th Vietnam - China Friendship Youth Exchange expected to take place in Hanoi City, Ninh Binh Province, Da Nang City and Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of nearly 100 youth representatives from across China.

Within the framework of the program, the youth representatives will pay courtesy call on the party leaders, hold working visits and participate in discussions; visit to historical relics, culture of Vietnam, visit and study outstanding youth models implemented by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
