Improving the quality of the Youth Union’s members

Web.HCYU.13.07.2018. Hai Phong, the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held a national conference of school youth union cadres, school year of 2017 - 2018.

Attending the conference includes Mr Le Quoc Phong, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the CPV, First Secretary of the Central Committee of HCYU, President of Vietnam Students’ Association; Ms Nguyen Thi Nghia, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, and Mr Le Khac Nam, Member of Hai Phong’s Municipal Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Phong.

At the conference, participants focused on evaluating the performance of youth union’s work and school youth movements in 2017 - 2018; critically acknowledged shortcomings, recommendations and proposals to improve the quality of activities in the 2018-2019 school year.

Over the last year, the work of youth union and school youth movement have carried out fairly effective the main tasks.

Traditional education activities have been implemented extensively and regularly  by the youth union in schools with many practical and creative activities associated with the political events and national holidays.  

The work of building and improving the quality of the youth union was paid attention. There were 551,807 Union’s new members admitted. The implementation of the activities is more and more being renewed in terms of content and form in accordance with the reality in each unit.

majority of activities to accompany with the students in learning and employment were implemented effectively, which mobilized 164.539 billions VND of scholarships to support students; 2,819 youth union members provide consultancy activities, vocational guidances regularly for students.

In recognizing the achievements during 2017 - 2018, Mr Le Quoc Phong evaluated  the Union’s work and the school youth movement which had much creativity. Youth union at all levels took initiatives in the field of youth work. He also suggested that the youth union should continue to give guidance and encourage the creative spirit of students, young lecturers through learning activities, science reasearch, academic clubs maintenance, speciality development and the promotion of information technology application.
