The HCYU Weekly News Summary: 19-24/01/2013

Web.HCYU.25/01/2013. The HCYU weekly news summary includes short summaries on the youth and children movements of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union across Vietnam.

24 Jan 2013 – Hanoi, Vietnam Youth Federation (VYF) held the 7th Conference of VYF Central Committee. Presenting at the conference includes Mrs Tran Thi Bich Thuy, deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation; Dr Nguyen Dac Vinh, alternate member of the CPV Central Executive Committee, first Secretary of the HCYU Central; Mr Phan Van Mai permanent Secretary the HCYU and members of the VYF Central Committee. At this conference, Mr Phan Van Mai was elected as new president of the VYF. 

23 Jan 2013 – Hanoi, Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization (CC.HYPO) held the 10th meeting to summarize its term activities and discuss, give comments on the Drafted proposal of the CC.HYPO, which will be submitted to the HCYU Executive Committee. Ms Nguyen Thi Ha, Secretary of the HCYU, President of the CC.HYPO and Mr Doan Mau Diep, Deputy Minister of the MOLISA, Vice President of the CC.HYPO co-chaired the Meeting.

23 Jan 2013 - Hanoi, the Secretariat of the HCYU held a meeting to deploy decisions which assigned the selected Union officials into various positions within the system.

22 Jan 2013 – Hanoi, the HCMC Student Support Centre in collaboration with Hanoi Youth Support and Development Center organized a program "Vietnamese Traditional New Year – Tie with families".

22 Jan 2013 – Quang Nam, a local Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer admission ceremony held at the "Red address". This was a meaningful practice done by the teachers and students at Nguyen Hue Elementary School of Dien Thang Commune, Dien Ban Dist., Quang Nam Province.

22 Jan 2013 – Hanoi, to recognise accomplishments in youth and children movements, the HCYU Central Committee presented the flags of excellence to 17 HCYU’s units, gave merits to 17 outstanding units and 30 progressive youth units; At the same time, the Committee awarded certificates of merit to the Secretaries of the provinces, cities and those units contributed significantly to the 2012 youth and children movements.

21 Jan 2013 – Hanoi, the 2nd conference of the HCYU Central Executive Committee, term 2012-2017, officially opened. This national conference held from 21 to 22/01/2013 and focused on some of the most important matters regarding youth.

21 Jan 2013 – Hanoi, thousands of youth participated in the 5th “Red Sunday” Campaign held at Hanoi National University. This event attracted thousands of blood donors for people in need.

19 Jan 2013 – Bac Ninh, first conference of the HCYU Standing Committee, which was co-chaired by Dr. Nguyen Dac Vinh, First Secretary and Mr. Phan Van Mai, Permanent Secretary of the HCYU, successfully closed after two days.
