Ms Pham Phuong Chi, member of the HCYU Standing Committee, Head of the International Department and union officers in charged also attend the meeting.

In 2012, the overseas Party committees, Vietnam Embassies, youths and students raised 65 million VND in response to the HCYU Secretariat’s campaign on building a classroom at the Minh Thanh Primary School in Duong Son District, Tuyen Quang Province. This was the headquarters of the National Salvation Youth Union (now known as the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union) during the war against the French colonist.

Contributors include the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Russia, Laos, the Party committees and Embassies in Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Laos, the UK and US, as well as the Vietnamese Student Associations in Bulgaria and the UK.

At the meeting, the delegates listen to reports of related youth activities and share their views, opinions and propose ideas on the upcoming overseas youth work.

Besides, the meeting focuses on the need of having an official and up-to-date information mechanism so the HCYU effectively disseminates the information, through the Vietnamese Embassies, overseas Party committees, to the youth unions and student associations abroad.

The HCYU plans to organize diverse activities, create favorable conditions for those studying abroad to return Vietnam and take part in domestic youth programs such as volunteering during the summer holidays, as noted by the youth delegates.

The youth representatives suggest the HCYU central committee to build youth forums, honor more youth outstanding awards for those accomplished significant results, provide online training and financial supports for youth organizations based at overseas, in particular, more support to the HCYU in Russia with more than 2000 union members in more than 100 union units at grassroots level.

On behalf of the HCYU, Ms Pham Phuong Chi, member of the HCYU Standing Committee, express her gratitude for the collective financial contributions made by leaders, officials of the overseas Party committees, Embassies of Vietnam abroad, overseas students and youths, who timely supported this significant youth work to celebrate the 10th Congress's success. At the same time, Ms Chi asks the delegation members to continue playing their core roles in conveying the contents and results of the Congress X to the overseas Vietnamese youth so they can understand and join effort of successfully implementing the Congress resolution.
