Youths celebrate Anniversary of the HCYU in Russia

Web.HCYU.27/3/2013 – In Moscow, the HCYU members in the Russian Federation celebrated the 82nd Anniversary of the HCYU (26/3/1931-26/32013) and join youth month on 24 March 2013.

The Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia HE Pham Xuan Son and representatives from the Embassy together with Vietnamese Overseas Association and the majority of the youth studying and working in Russia also attend the event.

Opening the ceremony, Secretary of HCYU in Russia, Hoang Cong Trang emphasized that addition to promote the spirit of overcoming difficulty to study and work well; Vietnamese youth in Russia have actively celebrated our major holidays and contributed to building a friendly relationship with the Russian people.

Hoang Cong Trang said at the present, youth union organization in Russia has roughly 2,649 members participating in 130 union units including 5 units at the first level, 10 units at the second level, and 114 units at grass-root level, in which 5 new units at grass-root level were established in 2012. Last year, the HCYU in Russia introduced 136 outstanding members to become the Vietnamese Communist Party members, particularly, 98 comrades became full members. Besides, 44 collectives and 120 individuals were awarded certificates of merit for high achievements in studying and training, and 9 collectives and 41 individuals were honored for outstanding performances in youth union work.

Simultaneously, the Central Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union awarded Board of HCYU in Russia together with 4 Youth Union units and 7 Youth officers having outstanding achievements last year.

Especially, Vietnam National Union of Students presented “January Stars” awards to 5 high-distinct youth officers in Russia. Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism Vietnam granted youth member Do Phuong Mai taking a PhD course in Moscow University of Culture. Hoang Cong Trang affirmed that Vietnamese young people in Russia always head to the beloved homeland of Vietnam and strive to nurture the traditional friendship and strategic partnership of Viet Nam-Russian Federation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Pham Xuan Son applauded the outstanding achievements gained by Vietnamese young people as well as reminded the youth to frequently train behavior and mortality, say “no” to social evils, actively join socio-political activities, strive to strengthen the Communist Party – Youth Union, study hard and enthusiastically contribute to enhancing the friendship with the Russian and other peoples. The Ambassador announced that 120-140 Vietnamese people are admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam annually, in which students account for over 100 people.
