Constructing gratitude house for a disadvantaged former youth volunteer
Web.HCYU.28/6/2020. Immediately after the launching ceremony of the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, in the morning of June 28th, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Commmittee (HCYU CC) organized a series of social security activities and performed meaningful works towards the community.
HCYU CC visited and attended the groundbreaking ceremony of building a house for former youth volunteer Vo Thi Trung (born in 1947) in Xom Moi, Hung Thuy commune, Le Thuy district. A donation of 50 million VND was handed by Mr. Le Quoc Phong- Alternate Member of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee, First Secretary of HCYU CC to build the gratitude house.

Ms. Trung was a youth volunteer of unit C1N134P31. She is in a plight: her husband passed away in 1990, her youngest child is mentally ill and unable to work. Her current house was built nearly 40 years ago and has been degraded.

During the program, the Mr. Le Quoc Phong visited Heroic Mother Pham Thi Do (born in 1917) in Quarter 1, Dong Phu Ward, Dong Hoi City. She has six children, two of whom died for the national liberation and reunification, who are Ha Cong Thien (died in 1968) and Ha Cong Thinh (died in 1972).
