Increase countryside people's income by 1,8 times, compared to 2020

In the morning of March 5th, in Hanoi, the signing ceremony of the Program for coordination in building civilized, modern rural society, promoting new-style cooperatives and the rise of Association of Professional Farmers period 2020 -2025. This marked the collaboration among the Central Committee of Vietnam Farmer Association, Central Vietnam Women's Union, Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Vietnam Cooperative Alliance.

Attending and chairing were Mr. Thao Xuan Sung, Member of the Central Committee of Communist Party, Chairman of the Central Association of Vietnamese Farmers Association; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Member of the Central Committee  of Communist Party, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union along with Mr. Le Quoc Phong, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of Communist Party, First Secretary of Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Bao, Chairman of Vietnam Cooperative Alliance.

The coordination program set out many specific targets, including the remarkable effort that by 2025, 75% of communes would reach the new rural standards, of which at least 20% would transform into new model rural areas. Moreover, it was said that the life quality of rural residents shall be improved as the average income in 2025 was in hope to increase by at least 1.8 times compared to that of 2020.

At the same time, the program determined to speed up the use of high technology applications to have more than 25% of cooperatives affiliating with it. As the program intended, it would strive to have 50% of agricultural cooperatives associated with corporations throughout the value chain. It would coordinate to build at least eighteen "3 in 1" professional Farmers Association in 18 provinces and cities across the country.

The content of the coordination program focused on renovating the methods of operation, considering righteous investment resources as builders of bright spots models, of new trained factors and vocational education. Those altogether shall help improve the employment quality. Also, the content concentrated on enhancing people's intellectual standards, equipping more scientific knowledge and technologies.

The Central Committee of Vietnamese Farmers Association would lead the way in enacting of the annual implementation plan for this program. This would also coordinate with other units to organize vocational training courses, agricultural and fishery extension training courses and applying technology in production courses for farmers. At the same time, this would help build and scale up models of civilized and modern rural society, new types of cooperatives.

In addition to the common aspects of cooperation, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union emphasized the importance of spreading and communication, mobilizing and supporting women to build prosperous, progressive, happy and civilized families. In mobilizing specifically, the association would encourage officials and members to actively participate in building a civilized and modern rural society and new type cooperatives.

Sharing the same spirit, the Central Committee of HCYU would focus on mobilizing farm owners and young productive people to fervently join in developing new models of cooperatives. The HCYU also promised to mobilize young people graduated from universities and colleges to develop production in their rural hometowns.
