Young people are required to be the pioneer force and succeed in learning, working, starting businesses

Mr. Le Quoc Phong, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU), Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Federation said that in the next term, the Vietnam Youth Federation of Lam Dong province has to encourage young people to pioneer and succeed in learning, working, entrepreneurship and international integration, in order to to exploit the incoming opportunities.

In August 7th, the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Federation of Lam Dong Province began the second working day. Attending were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Le Quoc Phong, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the HCYU, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Federation; Mr. Tran Duc Quan, Chairman of People's Council of Lam Dong province; Mr. Doan Van Viet, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, and 250 outstanding delegates representing more than 264,000 Youth Federation members in the province.

In the latest term, the Vietnam Youth Federation of Lam Dong province has actively directed to develop programs and plans to implement the Federation's activities and youth movements, in accordance with the actual circumstances in the locality. Federation's work and Youth movement have been developed in the direction of deepening, strengthening activities towards the grassroots level, achieving multi-faced effectiveness to attract a huge number of young people.

During the term, provincial Youth Federation members were mobilized to donate over 39,769 blood units. They also counseled and distributed free medicine to 20,198 poor patients. In this term, the provincial Youth Federation has recruited more than 73,000 members.

Being proactive in Start-up

Starting a business is an issue that many delegates are interested in while discussing at the meeting. Mr. Nguyen Duc Huy, Director of Thuy Canh Viet General Agricultural Service Company (Da Lat City), shared: "To start-up, young entrepreneurs must obtain knowledge, experience, skills and reputation, which are not inborn but must be accumulated. Those prerequisites must be fulfilled to gain trust and confidence  before we start a business ”.

Mr. Ho Anh Dung, CEO of F1 biotech company demonstrated: “Start-up warriors should learn to obtain essential experience and confidence to persuade their families, friends and the banks that their business is worth invested in. Entrepreneurs must actively connect commerce, find partners and be able to respond quickly with any changes in the market".

At the congress, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tien, Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, advised: “The youth must actively advise and propose solutions to restructure the economy,  with the focus on the agricultural sector, along with the movement of new rural construction and sustainable poverty reduction. More importantly, each Federation member needs to be at the forefront of high technology application in production.

Promoting potentials and advantages

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Le Quoc Phong, First Secretary of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Federation recognized and appreciated the efforts of Lam Dong Youth Federation  during the last term. "All levels of the Federation have organized many activities to promote the entrepreneurship of the youth, accompanying the youth in the process of establishing fundamental business infrastructure. ”.

However, Mr. Le Quoc Phong also frankly pointed out the limitations in the Federation's activities and the provincial youth movement. According to him, Federation's activities are rich in content but the impact is not deep enough. The development of the Federation in non-state enterprises is still facing many difficulties. Activities of Federation at grassroots level have not been practical. Mr. Le Quoc Phong said that in the next term, Lam Dong Youth Federation must encourage the Youth to learn, to work and to start new businesses.

"Lam Dong Youth Federation must promote the potentials and advantages of the province, especially tourism and services sectors; promote the application of high technology in agricultural production, at the same time with new and effective solutions to cope with the impact of current climate change on the natural environment. The Federation also needs to encourage and create favorable conditions for members and youths to actively participate in preserving the environmental landscape; promoting national cultural identity, cultural heritage and natural heritage in the area. There must be solutions to encourage and promote creativity, volunteer spirit for community,. In the Federation' activities, it is necessary to pay attention to implement activities in a separate manner, with more flexible forms, more easily accessible to the youth ”, Mr. Le Quoc Phong emphasized.
