HCYU Secretary received Australian Council for Political Exchange’s delegation
Web.HCYU.29.11.2018. Ha Noi – Mr. Bui Quang Huy, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee (HCYU) received members of Australian Council for Political Exchange, led by Mrs. Elisapeta Kikkert, paying a working visit to Vietnam in a political exchange program.
Presenting at the meeting included Mr. Nguyen Binh Minh, HCYU Standing Committee Member, Chief of Office of the HCYU; Mr. Nguyen Hai Minh, HCYU Standing Member, Head of the HCYU International Department and representatives of the Vietnam National Union of Students and Vietnam Youth Federation.
The youth union secretary extended his greetings during the reception and spoke highly of the political exchange program. He stressed that this working visit timely took place in the context of enhanced friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and Australia.
“2018 marks 45 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the bilateral relationship, especially in trade area, has further developed over 45 years of cooperation”, said Huy.
Huy also highly praised the friendship among young politicians of the two countries through annual delegation exchanges.

Over 20 years of operation, the young political exchange program has proven to be effective and significantly contributed to improving the capacity of young leaders and fostering future generations of two countries.
At the meeting, Huy shared information on the youth union’s focuses, youth movements, programs and projects for the term 2017-2022.
Mrs. Elisapeta Kikkert, head of the Australian delegation, thanked the host for the reception and arrangements during the visit. She also exchanged information over the issues faced by youths in the two countries.
The political exchange for young leaders takes place from 17 to 23 November 2018 in several cities and provinces of Vietnam.
