Strengthen responsibility of youth union in taking care of children

Web.HCYU.15.09.2018. – Binh Thuan Province. The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in collaboration with Binh Thuan Provincial Youth Union organized the program namely "Mid-Autumn Festival for Children". Nearly 1,600 children in upland commune of Phu Lac in Tuy Phong district of Binh Thuan province attended the program.

Mr. Le Quoc Phong, Alternate Member of the CPV Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Federation, President of the Vietnam National Union of Students attended, gave a speech and shared the joy of the mid-autumn festival with the local children.

Phu Lac is a mountainous midland commune, majority of the population are ethnic Cham. Because of remote terrain conditions, most children lack of material and spiritual conditions.

With the desire to bring a full and warm Mid-Autumn Festival to the children, the program "Mid-Autumn Festival for Children" takes place with many fun activities with full of enthusiasm and meaningful.

"Mid-Autumn Festival for Children" is a real festival of children. This activity maintains and promotes traditional culture; to express concerns and sharing of society towards the care and protection of children, particularly in remote and ethnic minority areas, at the same time; encouraging children and students to study in the new school year.

Speaking at the program, First Secretary Le Quoc Phong sent congratulations to the children in Phu Lac commune for the welcome a warm, happy and warm Mid-Autumn Festival and expressed desire for children to continue to strive and learn to become good children.

Mr Le Quoc Phong also suggested the youth union of all levels to continue to promote their roles and responsibilities to organize more meaningful and practical activities for children.

On this occasion, the festival organizing committee awarded 30 scholarships (about 1.5 million VND each) to children with difficult conditions but gaining good results in learning in the commune.
