NCYV working delegation inspect implementation of youth law and policies in Phu Tho

Web.HCYU.11.09.2018 - Phu Tho Province, a delegation of officials, led by Chairman of the National Committee on Youth of Viet Nam (NCYV), First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, paid a working visit to Phu Tho People’s Committee on the implementation of the Youth Law and Policies in 2018.

Received and worked with the delegation includes Mr Ha Ke San, Vice Chairman of the provincial people’s committee and leaders of departments, boards and related agencies.

In his report to the working delegation, deputy director of Phu Tho home affairs department Mr Le Tien Hung informed that there are approximately 247.308 youths aged from 16-30; of 163.585 local youths, there are 98.252 youth unions members participating in 667 youth union units of 21 districts, towns and related youth union blocks. 

By vigorously implementing the Resolution No 45/NQ-CP of the Government and the Vietnamese Youth Development Strategy 2011 - 2020, Phu Tho has created a change in the awareness and action of the provincial Party commission, authorities and departments from the province to the grassroots levels on the youth work.

At the meeting, the local authorities proposed to the working delegation a number of contents, such as: creating favorable conditions to allocate funds to the province to invest in buildings, upgrading cultural institutions, sports for the youth; amend and supplement the Youth Law to better serve the wider range of youths and supplementing the policies and law to parallel with reality of conditions.

Speaking at the meeting, NCYV’s Chairman Mr Le Quoc Phong noted the results of the implementation of the law, youth policy and youth work in the province over the last year.

In the next period, Mr Le Quoc Phong proposed that leaders of the province continues supporting local youths in the fields of employment, vocational training and economic development; orienting education ideology for youth; paying more attention to solutions to support disadvantaged rural youth, especially vulnerable youth groups; improving the policy mechanism conditions to promote creative youth activities. In addition, he also asked the provincial Party Commission to carry out a review, gathering policies and plans of the province on the youth to have specific assessments, from which, putting forward the measures for the youths continue to perform effectively.

For young people to have a healthy environment, with the existing cultural institutions, Mr Le Quoc Phong expects the provincial youth union to work closely with the cultural sector so that the existing institutions will become the attractive spots of youths. The youth union also needs to diversify contents, making the activities more attractive to help minimize negative issues among youths.

On the same day, the delegation of the National Committee for Youth of Vietnam visited and inspected the implementation of laws, policies and youth work in Thanh Thuy district of Phu Tho Province.
