Duna Camp 2018 - Vietnamese youth spirit from Europe

Web. HCYU.20.08.2018. Under the theme “Vibrant – United – Energetic – Intelligent”, Duna Camp 2018 for Vietnamese students and youths in Hungary was held from 17-19/8/2018 in the Capital City of Hungary - Budapest.

Attending the camp includes Mr Nguyen Anh Tuan, Permanent Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; leaders of the Vietnam Youth Federation, Vietnam Students Association; Mr Nguyen Duc Duong, Chargé d"affaires of Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary; Mr Nguyen Dinh Thang, President of Vietnamese Overseas Association in Europe; representatives of Vietnamese Embassies in France, Germany, Czech...

This is the 6th Camp for Vietnamese youths and students. Previous camps were held in Czech (in 2007 and 2017), Russia (in 2008), Germany (in 2015) and France (in 2016).

This Summer camp 2018 gathers more than 180 campers who are students and youths from a number of European countries including Czech, Russia, Germany, France, Belgium, Poland, Finland, Ukraine, Norway. This year'’s host is based in the Capital city of Hungary.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Permanent Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan expressed his pleasure on the spirit of solidarity among the overseas students and youths living and studying in Europe, as well as the unity atmosphere within the associations of Vietnamese overseas, through which created a united strength, connecting the Vietnamese communities across Europe.

Mr Nguyen Anh Tuan also appreciated that the activities of the youths are becoming more practical, creating communicative channel for Vietnamese youths in many European countries. Although the Vietnam Students Association in Hungary has newly established but it has shown significant efforts in hosting the Camp 2018 with many creative and practical activities.  

“The Central Youth Union, Central Vietnam Youth Federation and Central Students Association always pay attention to the work of mobilising and uniting overseas youths and students. All activities of the overseas students are integral part of the domestic youth affairs. The central committees committed to accompany and support the camp and sending delegates to attend the camp in the following years”” – said Mr Nguyen Anh Tuan.
