Vietnamese youth representatives work in Cuba

La Havana - in the working visit to Cuba, Vietnamese youth officials led by first secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh laid a floral wreath at the statue of the late President Ho Chi Minh in Acapulco Park, capital of La Havana, Cuba. Entourages with the top youth leader are heads of central youth union’s departments and provincial youth leaders.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Mr Duong Minh, Vietnamese overseas students and Cuban pupils also paid tribute to the late president of Viet Nam before the statute.

The statute of late president Ho Chi Minh was designed by architect Joel Diaz, vice chairman of the Cuba–Vietnam friendship association. The statute is placed in Acapulco Park beside Avenue 26, one of the best parks in La Habana.

The youth representatives also visited Vo Thi Thang Primary School in Cuba. Students of the school warmly greet the delegation in the Vietnamese traditional long dresses. School headmaster Mirta Gonzalez introduced the delegates about the history and shared that the school named under the Vietnamese revolutionary hero as a symbol of brotherhood between Viet Nam and Cuba. She informed that most of students knowing well about President Ho Chi Minh and Sister Vo Thi Thang.

On this occasion, first secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh presents souvenirs to students and teachers of the school. He expressed his pleasure and proud of the school under the name of a Vietnamese hero. Vietnamese youths attach importance to youth and people of Cuba for long lasting relationship.

The delegation also visited and exchanged with Vietnamese students studying at University of Vniversidad de La Habana and listened to Mrs Dra Magda Luisa Arias Rivera, Director of PR division, who introduced to the delegates about the students’ activities and learning opportunities in Cuba.
