WFDY Assembly towards peace and freedom
Web.HCYU.10/11/2015. La Habana – The World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY) held the 19th Assembly in plenary in La Habana, capital of Cuba. High level of Vietnam youth representatives led by HCYU first secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh present at this important gathering.

During the assembly, first secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh has a talk with Cuban counterpart Yuniasky Crespo Baquero as part of bilateral youth agreement between Vietnam and Cuba.
At the meeting, Mr Nguyen Dac Vinh reiterates the traditional relationship between the two youth unions and Viet Nam and Cuba always support each other in WFDY’s forums. Mr Nguyen Dac Vinh recalls when President Fidel Castro visited Vietnam during the war. “Vietnamese younger generation has special affection with the youths and people of Cuba. Although the two countries are distant in geography, Vietnam still keeps in touch and learns that Cuba youth have successfully organized the 10th Communist Youth Union of Cuba. The country is increasingly moving ahead”.
The Vietnam’s top youth leader also informs the Cuban representatives about the socio-eco development of Vietnam as it aims at political stability, growing in economy. To successfully implement the strategies, the Party and Vietnam’s State highlight the significant role of young people. He suggests the two youth organizations to strengthen relationship through high level official exchange and share working experience. Besides, Thanh Nien newspaper proposes a youth tour for Vietnamese and Cuban young people.
After the talk, first Secretary presented 20 laptops and several souvenirs to Cuban communist youth union.
