Economic Student Team Gained First Prize in Money Skills Contest
Web.HCYU.30/10/2015. Hanoi. Central Committee of the Vietnam Students Association coordinated with VISA organizing an awarding ceremony for the Practical Money Skills Communication Contest 2015. Team of University of Economic Ho Chi Minh City is the first prize winner of the Money Management Skills Communication Contest.
Vietnam Students Association’s President Le Quoc Phong, VISA’s Country Manager Sean Preston and hundreds of students present at the ceremony.
Launched on 24/4/2015, the contest has attracted a large number of students across Viet Nam.

There are 213 teams from 124 universities and colleges participated in the skills money management campaign.
The contest includes a series of communication campaign on personal finance management, raising awareness of the students through envision of a fat cat and the theme “Mom! I’m broke”
Addressing the ceremony, Mr Le Quoc Phong said “This is the fifth year of the event. The money management skills contest continues to accomplish its success and exceed students’ expectations. We understand that the social skills and the money management skill in particular play an important role in helping student confidently facing the financial issues after graduation.”
Mr Sean Preston, VISA’s country manager, shared that he was delighted seeing innovations and effort of this year contestants. The candidates only displayed deep knowledge of the financial matters but also had abilities of combining and using effectively the methods of communication to connect the target of the project”.
