Female ethnic minority students received scholarships

Web.HCYU.13/8/2015. Ha Noi – Twenty four outstanding Female ethnic minority students in the northern region of Viet Nam were awarded Vu A Dinh scholarships at the 6th “Dream Festival”. This program is held from 9/8 to 11/8/2015 in Hanoi capital of Viet Nam.

This annual program belongs to the project of “Open the Road to Future” in the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Foundation co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and its sponsors.

Attending the awarding ceremony on 10/8 includes Mrs Truong My Hoa - former vice president of Viet Nam, president of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Foundation; Mr Nguyen Long Hai – Secretary of Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization; Mr Nguyen Duc Quang – Chief Editor of Thieu Nien Tien Phong newspaper, Managing Director of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Foundation.

The scholarship recipients are currently year 3 of university or colleges students in the northern region. During the course of program, the students learn skills, experiences for their careers such as obtaining a job experience, personal finance management, office experience. The students also have opportunity to visit the capital places and government institutions.        

Addressing the opening ceremony, Mrs Truong My Hoa said that the investment of the foundation into the students is valuable and helpful. The recipients are aware of this so that they make significant effort to make the most of the investment.

Earlier in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Foundation had awarded scholarships to female ethnic minority students in the southern region of Viet Nam.
