Youth cooperation between Vietnam and India promoted

HCYU.17/09/2014. During the visit of His Excellency President Pranab Mukherjee of India from 14th-17th September with the invitation of President Truong Tan Sang, the Central Youth Union represented by H.E. First Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh signed a cooperative agreement with the Ministry of Skills Development, Entrepreneurship, Youth Affairs and Sports of the Republic of India represented by H.E. Mrs. Preeti Saran, Ambassador of the Republic of India in Vietnam.

The agreement includes 6 points to build a legal framework for the conduct of the cooperation program between the youth of Vietnam and India on the principles of equality, mutual benefits based on encouraging and promoting programs to exchange information, knowledge, experience, skills and expertise in the field of youth work.

To achieve the goal of the cooperation, the two sides will promote the exchange of delegations through youth programs such as: Young Politicians, Young Entrepreneurs, Young Doctors, Young Journalists, Young Reporters Programs.... Youth of the two countries will participate in youth festivals of the two countries, official visits of the representatives of the Youth Unions, share experiences, skills, information and knowledge in the fields of youth collaboration and encourage youth to participate in the workshops held in the two countries on topics related to youth.  

Youth from Vietnam will visit India and Indian youth visit Vietnam during the period from 7-10 days. This agreement shall be effective for a period of three years from the date of signing.
