First Secretary receives delegation of Cambodia Youth Federation

Web.HCYU. 26/12/2013. Hanoi, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, Dr Nguyen Dac Vinh, receives delegation of Cambodia Youth Federation.

At the HCYU’s headquarters, Dr. Nguyen Dac Vinh welcomes the official exchange and visit of the delegation to Vietnam. He praises that this official visit is a significant activity fostering the relationship, enhancing understanding and cooperation between youth organizations of the two countries Vietnam - Cambodia.

At the meeting, the First Secretary introduces key features of youth organizations in Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and youth work and movements in Vietnam, in particular, he shares the two significant youth movements “Youth being the vanguard in building and safeguarding the country” and “Accompanying youth to help establish careers and self development”.

Dr Nguyen Dac Vinh said the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union attaches great importance to cooperation with brotherhood youth organizations, especially Laos and Cambodia. He hoped through this visit of a delegation of the two youth organizations will further strengthen activities to match with the heights of the special relationship.

On behalf of the delegation, President of the Cambodia Youth Federation, Mr. Hun Many thanked the First Secretary for spending time and sharing information as well as discussing directions of youth cooperation in the next period.

Along with exchanging information on youth organizations and operations, Mr. Hun Many reaffirms the effort in consolidating and strengthening the relationship between the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Vietnam Youth Federation and Cambodia Youth Federation.

Shortly after the meeting, the Vietnam Youth Federation and Cambodia Youth Federation discussed and signed a cooperative agreement for the period of 2013 -2017.
