Summary of the contest “Students’ Dream”

Web.HCYU: Hanoi, 23 Oct 2012 Central of Vietnam National Union of Students and Vietnamese Students Newspaper summarized the contest named “Students’ Dream”. Ms Nguyen Thi Ha, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union attended and awarded prizes at the ceremony.

The contest was launched in the late 2011 in celebration of the Year of Student, ended in May 2012, and awarded prizes in Oct 2012. The competition was co-hosted by Central Vietnam National Union of Students and Vietnamese Students Newspaper. This is the opportunity for students to share their dreams, to express their life- determination; to encourage students to overcome difficulties in learning, training, working and living...It is also a practical activity in addition to the report of Vietnamese Students Newspaper and Central Vietnamese Student Association to welcome the 10th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Dec 2012.

Within six months, the organizers had received more than 3,000 papers of youths from all over the country. After days of carefully reading and selecting, 30 outstanding papers were chosen based on the following criteria: the writing is about real people, real work; it displays humanity and modernity; it is creative in expression.

Ms Nguyen Thi Ha,  Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union awarded first prize with merit for Pham Thi Hien, student of Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, with her written work on her whole- life dream of serving society

At the ceremony, the organizers awarded Pham Thi Hien, student of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, the first prize worth 10 million VND and merit of Vietnam National Union of Students. Two second prizes worth 5 million each with merits, 3 third prizes worth 2 million each and merits and 10 honourable prizes worth 1 million and merits were also awarded.
