With its topic as “The youth join hands to construct rural areas” and slogan as “Each youth does a voluntary task and each Union unit takes charge of one work to join the new rural area construction”, the 2012 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign was implemented in various fields and localities across Vietnam with a focus on poor districts, communes and disadvantaged areas together with voluntary activities in neighboring countries of Laos and Cambodia.

After three months of implementation, the campaign attracted many young enthusiastic volunteers to take part and form specialized and qualified groups to participate in local activities. Almost all targets set in organizing the Campaign were exceeded.
