The Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia provided food and medical equipment to support Vietnamese people in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.

Responding to the program “Million bags of social security” launched by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia provided food and medical equipment to accompany and help poor people and disadvantaged groups affected by Covid-19 pandemic.

On 28th December, at Moc Bai border gate (Tay Ninh province, Viet Nam) and Bavet border gate (Svay Rieng province, Cambodia), Viet Nam Youth Federation and Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia jointly held a handover ceremony to deliver equipment and necessities to support Vietnamese people and children facing difficulties during the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the ceremony, Mr. Toch Polyva, Deputy Governor, Vice Chairman of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia of Svay Rieng Province presented 500 boxes of instant noodles, 400 boxes of medical masks, 500 boxes of medical gloves, 2000 protective suits and 400 bottles of hand sanitizer to representatives of the Viet Nam Youth Federation. These equipment and necessities would be transferred to the local unit of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Viet Nam Youth Federation to quickly support the frontline forces, helping the people and children of Viet Nam in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.


This was a meaningful ceremony of Cambodian youth in response to the call of H.E.Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on the program “Million bags of social security”., demonstrating the traditional friendship between people and youth of the two countries Viet Nam - Cambodia.
