Vietnam - Australia continues to promote cooperation in the field of youth affairs

In the afternoon of November 18th, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Standing Deputy Chairman of the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam Nguyen Ngoc Luong held a meeting with the Australia-Political Exchanges Council headed by Ms.Laura Fraser Hardy, Chief of Office of the Department of Occupation and Small Enterprises, Department of Skills Development and Training of Queensland.

Attending the meeting was Mr. Nguyen Hai Minh, Head of the International Department. On behalf of the HCYU, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luong welcomed Ms. Laura Fraser Hardy and members of the Australian Political Exchanges Council to visit Vietnam.

This is the 23rd exchange delegation of the two sides. Previously, from October 12 - October 18, 2019 the 23rd delegation of HCYU also visited and worked in Australia. The exchange program between the two organizations contributes to helping young politicians in each country learn about each other's political systems, and promote cooperation in political, economic and cultural fields.

In recent years, relations between Vietnam and Australia have been strengthened and promoted in many areas. In the coming time, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luong hoped that the two organizations would continue to have deeper cooperation, contributing to the development of relations between the two countries. Thereby, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luong confirmed the importance of the exchange between young political leaders.

Ms. Laura Fraser Hardy - Head of Delegation thanked the HCYU for the warm welcome and hoped that the people-to-people relations between Vietnam and Australia will be strongly built.

At the meeting, Ms. Laura Fraser Hardy also discussed youth policy issues; start-up innovation and skills to help young people develop in the 4.0 Era.

During 03 days to Vietnam, the delegation will work with departments and agencies, visit a number of historical sites, landscapes in Hanoi and Quang Ninh province.
