Vietnam in the hearts of Russian youth

The closing ceremony of the Russia - Vietnam Youth Forum 2019 took place in Moscow (Russian Federation), attended by a delegation of 50 Vietnamese youths led by Mr. Le Quoc Phong, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU), Chairman of the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam.

Meaningful experiences

Vernika Chechetko (Huong), a 22-year-old student at a university in Saint Peterburg, said that it was her first time to participate in this Forum and she shared: “When I watched Vietnamese cultural and artistic performances in the seminar relating to preserving cultural diversity of Russia and Vietnam yesterday, I was really impressed and attracted. Through the forum, I also had opportunity to use more Vietnamese”.

Participating in the forum is also a great experience for Vietnamese youth to visit historical and cultural works of Russia and take part in seminars on the topics of Russian-Vietnamese cultural diversity and operational experience of the youth of the countries.

"We are close friends"

At the closing ceremony of the Forum, Mr. Alexander Bugaev, Chairman of Federal Agency on Youth Affairs expressed: “I hope that when you return to your country, there will be a friendly image of our country and people in your heart. Please remember that although Russia is a vast and very cold country, there are people who always remember and love you by heart".

He also emphasized, “We can never forget the passionate affection that our countries have had for many years. We are not only international partners, but also close friends. "

On behalf of the Vietnamese youth delegation, Mr. Le Quoc Phong expressed his gratitude for the love from Russian youths. He also said that both Vietnamese and Russian youths experienced a time with Russian culture and left a lot of deep memories. This is the story of friendship and further strong relationships between the two countries. At the same time, on this occasion, the youth generation organized many collaborative exchange programs so that they could create more meaningful activities in the future.

Within the framework of this Forum were the important meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation; the Special envoy of the Russian President on International Cultural Cooperation, the Coordinator of the Russia - Vietnam Cross-year Cooperation Committee; the President of the Russian Federation Agency on Youth Affairs and the First Secretary of the Lenin Communist Youth Union would have opened many opportunities for meaningful cooperation between the two countries in the coming time.
