Vietnamese Youth Delegation Laid Flowers at President Ho Chi Minh’s Statue In Moscow

Web.HCYU.24/9/2019. The Vietnamese delegation attending the Russia- Vietnam Youth Forum 2019 led by Mr. Le Quoc Phong laid flower at President Ho Chi Minh’s Statue in Moscow.

On 24th September, 2019, the Vietnamese delegation attending the Russia- Vietnam Youth Forum 2019 led by Mr. Le Quoc Phong, Alternate Member of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) laid flower at President Ho Chi Minh’s Statue in Moscow - capital of Russia. Mr. Ngo Quoc Thai, the Deputy Secretary of the Foreign Party Committee in the Russian Federation also attended the ceremony. Vietnamese youth delegation participated in the 2019 Vietnam - Russia Youth Forum with many activities taking place in Moscow and Saint Petersburg from September 24th to October 1st. This ceremony at President Ho Chi Minh’s Statue is the first activity of Vietnamese delegation in the Forum.

In the solemn atmosphere, all delegates spent a minute of memory to remember President Ho Chi Minh - a prominent leader of the CPV and the world communist movement; a hero of national liberation; a cultural world-honored great person; a person laying the foundation for the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Russia.

Ho Chi Minh’s Statue in Moscow is located at the intersection of Dmitri Ulianov Street (named after V. I. Lenin’s brother) and "Sixty Years of October Revolution" Street, the Ho Chi Minh Square. Since May 19th, 1990 when the Ho Chi Minh Statue of the sculptor V.Tsigal in Moscow was inaugurated, the Ho Chi Minh Square has become a close and familiar place for Vietnamese who are living and working in Russia.
