Opening ceremony of the Training Course on Youth Work for Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union officials

Web.HCYU.13/8/2019. In the afternoon of August 13, at the Vietnam Youth Academy, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) organized the opening ceremony of the Training Course on Youth Work for Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union officials in 2019.

Participating in the training course, there are 50 students from Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union. In the framework of the program, participants will discuss topics such as: The socio-economic development pathway of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV); Vietnamese; general information about the political system in Vietnam; Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on education and fostering young generation; views of the CPV on Youth; work on the establishment, inspection and supervision of the Youth Union, etc.
Besides, the participants will discuss the following topics: The responsibilities and roles of the two countries' youths in preserving and promoting the great friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos ; Models and experiences in organizing movements of the two Youth Unions; visiting traditional villages and Laos' revolutionary monuments in Nhi Bang commune (Yen Son, Tuyen Quang); visiting scenic spots, as well as Vietnamese cultural and historical relics; exchanging experiences on working models in localities and enterprises, etc.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Bui Quang Huy - Secretary of the HCYU, Chairman of the Vietnam National Union of Students was delighted to welcome 50 officials from Lao to study in Vietnam. This is an opportunity for young people of the two countries to exchange experiences in terms of Youth Union - Association work and to tighten the solidarity of friendship between the Vietnam and Laos. He hoped that by attending the course, the Laos officials would obtain experiences in organizing the Union and Associations in Laos, due to the fact, that the two countries have many similarities.

He also suggested when teaching, lecturers need to enhance two-way exchange, gathering experiences from Laos students about implementing volunteer works. "We will continue to expand the relationship and youth exchange between two countries, in order to better the understandings", said Mr. Bui Quang Huy.

The training course will finsih on September 17, 2019.
