Youth contributes to fostering the traditional Vietnamese-Russian friendship

In the afternoon of 24/7, at the Hanoi National University, the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, in coordination with the Russian Federal Agency on Youth Affairs held the Seminar themed: "The Youth contribute to fostering traditional Vietnamese-Russian friendship; Meeting and interacting with typical characters associated with the development history of Vietnam - Russian Federation relations”.

Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Mr. Bui Quang Huy, Secretary of the Central Committee of the HCYU, Chairman of the Vietnam National Union of Students said: Vietnam Youth always aware that the traditional friendship, the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnamese people and Russian people are precious assets, which need to continue to cultivate through generations. This is a good opportunity for the two countries' youths to meet and exchange information, and share experiences on youth work in many fields. In particular, the Seminar is also an opportunity for the two countries' youths to review the glorious tradition of the Vietnam - Russia friendship, to share good stories, beautiful memories.

At the Seminar, the delegates of the Russian Federation listened to the speeches sharing about the "Five merits Student" movement, as well as Youth activities between Vietnam and Russian Federation. Many members of the Russian delegations expressed their interest and excitement about the "Five merits Student" movement and practical models, especially the volunteer campaigns that Vietnamese students deploy within the framework of this movement.

Besides, the two sides shared ideas and suggestions to strengthen the cooperation of Vietnamese-Russian youth in the coming time. For instance: the implementation of youth and student exchange programs, activities to promote creative entrepreneurship, volunteer activities for the community.
Also at the seminar, Vietnamese and Russian Youth had the opportunity to talk with many historical and typical witnesses of Vietnam associated with the development history of the relations between the two countries through beautiful memories of studying, researching and working at the “Land of Birch.
