The 15th Asia Pacific Regional Volunteer Conference to be held in Hanoi

Web.HCYU.13/14/2014. Hanoi, the National Volunteer Center and International Association for Volunteer Effort (IAVE) sign a Memorandum of Understanding on organizing the 15th Asia Pacific Regional Volunteer Conference 2015 in Hanoi and the Asia Pacific Regional Youth Volunteer Conference.

The MOU was signed by Mr Vu Minh Ly, Director of the National Volunteer Center and Mr Kang Huyn Lee, President of the International Association for Volunteer Effort.

The Asia Pacific Regional Volunteer Conference is organized once in every two years. The last conference was held in Macao. The upcoming conference is set to take place in 10/2015 in Hanoi, Vietnam with the participation of about 700 representatives of both domestic and international volunteer organizations.

Addressing at the signing ceremony, Dr Kang Huyn Lee hopes that the 15th conference will be a valuable opportunity for volunteer culture exchanges between Vietnam and other countries in the Asia Pacific region.

Mr Vu Minh Ly states that this is a chance for Vietnam to promote the volunteer spirit, introduce about Vietnamese culture and bring the volunteer culture of Vietnam to the world.

Before the signing event, First Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh received the delegation of the International Association for Volunteer Effort.
