Youth forum for Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Development Triangle

Web.HCYU. 01/03/2014. Kratie city, Cambodia, the 5th CLV Development Triangle Area Youth Forum launched with the participation of 65 the youth representatives from Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.

At this year forum, youth leaders discuss various issues include“Youth and Rural Development”, “Youth and Cooperation Experience Exchange”, “Youth and Entrepreneurial Experience Exchange.”

In addition, the representatives have an opportunity to share experience and suggest ideas for strengthening the roles and responsibilities of youth in contributing to the CLV Development Triangle Area’s common wealth and carrying out projects for socio-economic development, tackling unemployment and actively joining in programs of maintaining peace in the CLV Development Triangle Area.

Vietnam’s youth delegation had 13 members led by Ms. Ton Ngoc Hanh – Member of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Secretary of Binh Phuoc’s Youth Union. At the forum, Ms. Ton Ngoc Hanh chaired the first seminar on “Youth and Rural Development”.

In the opening ceremony, H.E. Hang Chuon Naron – Minister of the Minsitry of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia; H.E. Sor Chomrong – Chairman of Kratie province and Heads of three youth delegations extend a warm welcome to all delegates.

On this occasion, youth delegates will join in Study Tours to learn from effective youth business models, visit landscapes, attend cultural exchanges and youth camp in Kratie. Besides, heads of the three delegations sign the Joint Statement of the Youth Forum in the Closing Ceremony on 2 March 2014.
