The 25th AJAFA-21 Executive Council Meeting in Siem Reap, Cambodia

Web.HCYU.29/01/2013 - The 25th AJAFA-21 Executive Council Meeting held from 26 to 27 January 2013 in the city of Siem Reap, Cambodia. The meeting was host by JICA-AC of Cambodia with 50 participants from 9 countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. The meeting was conducted at the Angkor Paradise Hotel.

This year's Executive Council Meeting (ECM) was attended by all AJAFA-21 alumni associations and senior representative from JICA Cambodia, Mr Hitoshi Hirata. Participants from the Vietnam Alumni Club of Youth Friendship Program (VACYF) were Mr Vu Minh Ly attended on behalf of the VACYF’s chairperson and an officer from the International Department. 

Members of ASEAN-Japan Friendship Association for the 21st Century (AJAFA-21): Indonesia (KAPPIJA-21), Lao PDR (LAYCFP), Philippines (PAJAFA-21), Malaysia (PAMAJA), Cambodia (JICA-AC), Myanmar (JAAM), Thailand (FYAA), Vietnam (VACYF).

Vietnam Alumni Club of Youth Friendship Programme (VACYF) was established under the decision of the Chairman of the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam dated 5 June 2000.

The VACYF headquarters is located within the International Youth Cooperation Development Center (CYDECO), International Department of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at 62 Ba Trieu, Hanoi, Vietnam.

Members of the VACYF are the Vietnamese ex-participants of the Friendship exchanges between Vietnam and Japan and the ASEAN nations, who show strong willingness and commitment to engage in the Club’s activities for the community interests. The VACYF has around 1,400 members nationwide.
