Vietnam - Laos- Cambodia Youth Forum kicks off

Web.HCYU. 06 December 2012. The 8th Youth Forum on Development Triangle Area started in Kon Tum, Vietnam under the theme" “Solidarity, Cooperation and Development”.

This year youth forum is organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union under framework of the Cambodia - Laos - Vietnam Development Triangle Area 
(CLV DTA) Joint Coordination Committee.

About 70 outstanding youth representatives from three countries of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia attend the Forum. The delegates focus on discussing, wok plans and exploring solutions to promote the youth movements in the three countries.

In addition, the youth representatives will discuss major topics include 1) Building collaborative strategies to promote young entrepreneurs in the CLV DTA; 2) Strengthening the roles of youth in maintaining the border of peace, friendship and development among the three countries; 3) Promoting the pioneering role of youth in new rural development.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Heads of the youth delegation of Cambodia and Laos reaffirm that this is great opportunity for youth of the three countries to unite, uphold the tradition of friendship built by generations of leaders and people of the three countries. This is also a remarkable opportunity to promote relations and co-operations among the three countries to new level.

The Forum is a valuable opportunity to educate the CLV youth on traditional relation, friendship and solidarity between the youth and peoples of the three countries. And the roles of youth in preserving and enhancing the relationships will be highlighted.  

During the course of this Forum, the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia youths will jointly introduce and promote the economic, social and cultural achievements of the three countries.

The forum will end on 07 December 2012 and a joint statement will be signed for implementing youth activities in the next period.
